Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mother's out there. It was a beautiful day for the most part. Rain showers came in this afternoon but it's clearing up again. I might get some grilling in tonight after all.
We made it to West Bend this morning for brunch with Krissy's mom and her family. Cafe Soeurette (cafesoeurette.com) is a lovely place on the river in the heart of downtown West Bend. I must have ate a pound of bacon and the brisket was excellent.
Last night we ventured over to Jamos a few blocks from our house. We hung out with bartender extraordinaire Anna after her shift. Apparently, the Singapore Sling is a featured drink so we had a chance to watch a few of those get made. I think I might have to try one next time we go there.
There was a terrible hot air balloon accident in Virginia this week. I've done the hot air balloon ride once and it was a wonderful experience. Very peaceful so early in the morning. I even wanted to take the pilot lessons but the instructor moved to Kenya to start an adventure company and I never found anyone else in the area to do it with.
Going to run now. Playoff hockey is about to start. Go Hawks!
Later
