Upside Down Pineapple Cake

So many great joints in this town and we managed to hit 5 of them last night. We started off in the neighborhood at the Roman Coin. John and Angela graciously picked us up and we headed over to Old World Third street for a cocktail at Ugly's. Then walked over to Carson's Ribs for our 6pm dinner reservation. A very nice dinner had by all. Then back down the street for beer at the Old German Beer Hall. That place is starting to grow on me. John and Angela headed home from there but Krissy dragged me into Mader's which is the most well known German joint in this town of things German. President Ford once ate dinner there back in the 70's.

Evers to Tinker to Chance. That's the famed double play combination from a different era of the Chicago Cubs. Joe Tinker's grandson sang the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley Field yesterday as part of their 100th anniversary celebration.

The Chicago Blackhawks have dug themselves into a hole by losing their second overtime game in a row. They now trail in the series 2-0. They've been down this road before and experience will come through for the defending Stanley Cup champions.

I have to run now. I've got an upside down pineapple cake to bake!
